RFID Journal Awards 2011

Showcasing the best of the RFID Industry

About the Awards

The RFID Journal Awards were created by RFID Journal to recognize the leaders in deploying RFID technologies, and to foster adoption of these technologies by highlighting the best deployments. Each year, the editors of RFID Journal select an independent panel of judges to evaluate entries and choose the winners. The winners are announced at our annual RFID Journal LIVE! conference and exhibition in April. Each winner will receive a crystal award at the conference and be featured in RFID Journal magazine.

For 2011, awards will be presented in six categories. The first five awards will be presented to end users, while the Best in Show Award will be presented to the RFID vendor exhibiting the best new RFID product (hardware, software or service) at RFID Journal LIVE! 2011.

This year's categories are:

Best RFID Implementation
This award will be given to the end-user company that has demonstrated the best use of RFID technology to improve its manufacturing, supply chain or retail operations. The winner will be the company that best demonstrates how RFID is delivering real value to shareholders.

Best Use of RFID to Enhance a Product or Service
This award will be given to the end-user company that has best used RFID technology to enhance an existing product or service. The winner will be the company that demonstrates how it is using RFID to provide additional value to its customers.

Most Innovative Use of RFID
This award will be given to the end-user company with the most novel use of RFID technology. The winner will be the company that best demonstrates how it is using RFID in a new or unusual way to solve a business problem, deliver a return on investment to shareholders or improve customer service.

Best in Show
This award will be given to the RFID technology hardware, software or service provider chosen by a team of judges at RFID Journal LIVE! 2011 as the best new product or service at the event. To qualify, the product or service must have been introduced after the last RFID Journal LIVE! concluded on April 16, 2010.

Special Achievement Award
This award will be given to three individuals who have contributed to the RFID industry. It can be given to end users, researchers, vendors, inventors, standards developers and others who have contributed to the advancement of the entire RFID industry.

New: RFID Green Award
This award will be given to the end-user company that has demonstrated the best use of RFID technology to improve the environment, increase recycling or enhance sustainability.
