Showcasing the best RFID deployments, products and research
About the Awards
The RFID Journal Awards were created by RFID Journal to recognize the leaders in creating and deploying RFID technologies, and to foster adoption of these technologies by highlighting the best products and deployments.
Each year, the editors of RFID Journal select an independent panel of judges to evaluate entries and choose the winners. The winners are announced at our annual RFID Journal LIVE! conference and exhibition in April. Each winner receives a crystal award at the conference and is featured in RFID Journal magazine.
For 2013, awards will be presented in seven categories. The first four awards will be presented to end users. Special achievement will be presented to an individual who has contributed to the RFID community. The Best in Show Award will be presented to the RFID vendor exhibiting the best new RFID product (hardware, software or service) at RFID Journal LIVE! 2013, which will be held at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, Fla.
This year's categories are:
Best RFID Implementation
This award will be given to the end-user company that has demonstrated the best use of RFID technology to improve its manufacturing, supply chain or retail operations. The winner will be the company that best demonstrates how RFID is delivering real value to shareholders.
Best Use of RFID to Enhance a Product or Service
This award will be given to the end-user company that has best used RFID technology to enhance an existing product or service. The winner will be the company that demonstrates how it is using RFID to provide additional value to its customers.
Most Innovative Use of RFID
This award will be given to the end-user company with the most novel use of RFID technology. The winner will be the company that best demonstrates how it is using RFID in a new or unusual way to solve a business problem, deliver a return on investment to shareholders or improve customer service.
RFID Green Award
This award will be given to the end-user company that has demonstrated the best use of RFID technology to improve the environment, increase recycling or enhance sustainability.
Best in Show
This award will be given to the RFID technology hardware, software or service provider chosen by a team of judges at RFID Journal LIVE! 2012 as the best new product or service at the event. To qualify, the product or service must have been introduced after the last RFID Journal LIVE! concluded on April 14, 2011.
Special Achievement Award
This award will be given to three individuals who have contributed to the RFID industry. It can be given to end users, researchers, vendors, inventors, standards developers and others who have contributed to the advancement of the entire RFID industry.
